For those interested in connecting with Geology Outreach efforts:

We offer a list of presentations that are designed for students of various levels ranging from elementary to high school. While some of our presentations are designed in accordance with the Science Standards of the Ohio Department of Education, we are also eager to work with after-school programs, or engage with other extra-curricular programs in the Cincinnati area and beyond. Check out the list of Presentations and learn more about the topics that will be covered and access the contact information for the presenters. We are excited to work with you to find the best way to incorporate these topics in your classroom.

We are also eager to hear from you: what topics would be most valuable for your students? How did the presentation help your teaching and what can we improve to make this program stronger? Please send feedback to Josh Miller (see contacts). If you have a smaller group of interested students and want to visit the Department of Geology at the University of Cincinnati please contact us. We can arrange visits to show you our various laboratories and research collections of rocks and fossils. These activities can also be modified to be virtual tours.

Who We Are
We are faculty, staff, and students at the University of Cincinnati Department of Geology interested in communicating geoscience to broader audiences. We are especially excited to work with students who may have less exposure to hands-on/inquiry-based earth science activities.

Compensation
There is no fee for the presentations, but we welcome thank you letters for the presenters!
